The general directory focuses on businesses with an Abilene address. Local Spotlight also makes room for individually approved businesses serving nearby Big Country communities.
Original featured profiles were submitted by the businesses, and their stories have been preserved with light editing. New general listings are researched from public directories and business websites. A listing is not an endorsement or a guarantee that a business is open, owner-operated or independently verified. Hours, services and contact details change; checking with the business is always the best next step.
A real person reviews the changes.
New submissions, corrections, owner posts and events are reviewed before publication. Claiming a profile does not automatically grant access: we verify requests through established business contact channels first.
A little more room in the Spotlight.
Spotlight profiles include fuller descriptions, images and links. Existing founding profiles remain complimentary. Spotlight members receive priority among matching directory results, with each group ordered alphabetically. Complimentary founding profiles receive the same placement. Paid profiles are identified as Sponsored Spotlight; founding profiles are complimentary. Membership does not buy an editorial recommendation, a review, or a guaranteed Google ranking.

About your submissions
We collect the contact details and information you provide to review your request and respond. Contact emails are kept in the private review desk; submitting a request does not subscribe you to marketing. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive identification documents.
Understanding profile activity
After the public relaunch, we record aggregate daily profile views and clicks on website, call, directions, order, booking and contact buttons. These counts are not unique people or completed purchases. We do not use analytics cookies, cross-site identifiers, or third-party analytics for this feature. Signed-in visits and browser Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control signals are excluded. For abuse prevention, a rotating salted network-address hash may be held for up to one hour; raw network addresses are not stored in these analytics. Daily totals are retained for 180 days. Hosting security logs are separate from this feature.
